"I started using Poser around 1996, I picked up Version 2 at a computer show because I thought it looked interesting, I really wasn't too familiar with the product then. At that point I was running a 486 with 22 megs of ram and a 1 meg video card. [Blistering aint it?] I was impressed with the fact that I could pose a figure for reference drawing and rotate around that figure for positioning and camera angles that I'd initially never thought of. As I became more and more familiar with the program, I began to use it to produce images based solely using the software."

"I began using Poser when it was first introduced. I reviewed the first version for the UK version of Mac User, bought it, and thereafter used it to help me quickly acheive postures for templates that I would then work-up in Illustrator. Only in the last five years has it become a mainstream tool for me...Hardly a day goes by that I don't use Poser, especially for the work that I do for magazines in the US and Europe. As the program matures and more clothing, hair and textures become available it just gets better and better. The Poser community is really strong and helpful and there are loads of resources out there if you look."
